The small size of the KATflow 110 (180 mm x 140 mm x 70 mm) belies its reliability and usefulness as an alternative to more conventional metering technologies. Contained within the compact enclosure is a metering device as powerful as any of the others on the market. All that we have done is to leave out some of the non-essential options in order to provide a more cost-effective solution.

The KATflow 110 was intended for use on applications where the customer has to decide whether to look at a clamp-on device or an intrusive one. Obviously if the flowmeter is required for a system that is already in operation and where shut down is not an option, then the decision is clear. The main difference with the KF110 is that more and more we are finding a demand for new-build systems. Our own cost evaluation has proved that when you factor in labour, tools, flanges, washers and bolts, etc., a KF110 is the most competitive solution for any pipe greater than 100 mm. Furthermore, unlike the alternatives, a non-invasive flowmeter really is a fit and forget option.

The flowmeter is suitable for all common pipe materials including some of the difficult ones such as ductile iron or cement lined pipes. It can also be used on a huge range of liquids from the very pleasant such as beer, milk and demineralised water to the very nasty including raw sewage and aggressive chemicals.
